Give me some sunshine, give me some rain

Saari umar hum...mar mar ke jeeliye hai...
Ek pal to ab humein...jeene do..jeene do.
Bachpan ..to gaya.....Jawaani bhi gayi......Ek pal to ab humain.....jeene do ....jeene doooooooooooo!
Give me some sunshine, give me some rain
Give me another chance ...I wanna grow up once again!!

Just like me, there will easily be thousands of other people who would have got goose bumps listening to this song in the background in 3 idiots the very first time! Did I not say I wish? OF COURSE I wish!!

I am always astounded by the ways you can describe things...ways - words. It is just so great if you have a great vocabulary in life, you have almost no limit to describing any single emotion in so many thousands of ways..........each resulting in a slightly different reaction.

The Little Master

The day you see a batsman see the ball TILL it passes by him at the speed of a bowler of bret lee's pace....you have found someone who can match our own Little Master! Till then, make yourself happy by comparing all the so called 'greats' of the game!

To see the ball till it is beside your face, and steer it above the keeper and slips', needs years of sheer concentration, practice and above all skill to accomplish it!

All hail Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar!!!!

So here we four friends were....

Sitting at the to-be bride's place (IF all things work out obviously). No, not mine. Out of the four of us, the youngest guy's to-be! Youngest maybe a fact, but he's 27 so no kid.

It all started the day before yesterday. Things were looking the nothing new, normal theory based talks between the protagonist and his parents. Let's call him S Bannur or SB. After his parents explained to him that 'beta, tera number aagaya', he said 'Yea, whatever..fine'. So SB's parents asked me and a couple of other common friends to accompany him as he's not the 'YO! SSUP DOOOD!' kinds. Not that any of us are...but birds of the same feather kinds. So I said fine, will go with him. SB's mom asked her beloved son...'Will you actually talk to the girl beta?', to which his daddy dearest replied 'Yea yea..For all you know, he will keep his mouth shut and just eat whatever he gets and will be back!' harharhar! Come to think of it..... ;)

Arrival. The person who was arranging the alliance was in a hurry. So once we barely parked our arses on the sofa, all four of us...he comes up with 'Call the bride'. When he uttered the line, I could only think of 'D-uh!'!. So the bride took her time to get ready, while her father said 'It's sunday you see, so ppl get up late etc..' He told it SO many times we started wondering if he thought we don't know it's a sunday! Finally the one arrived and got tumblers with something. We all thought 'Nice, some kinda juice. Goodie!' It was water. Time passed.... The TV was on, cricket. Barely any volume given. All four of us being cricket lovers, we stared at it. Time just didn't pass...the bowler seemed to take forever to get back to his run up and bowl the next delivery! We couldn't even stare at each other as we didn't have too much space. So more or less very uncomfortable. Bride comes again...this time with a couple of good day biscuits and 'chow-chow' / mixture ...It was like a classroom, albeit a VERY well disciplined one. Pin drop silence..broken only by the crunching and munching of the eatables given. Nobody seemed to see the awkwardness....happy watching tv with mouth full. None of us even looked at the prospective bride! Grin! Only a couple of conversation between one of the elder brothers of the girl and our man.

Fifteen minutes up...status quo. I was irritated....controlling my irritation......started counting one to ten..Did it a few times. Something in my mind just 'clicked'. I said 'SB here is more of a reserved person. So please ask your daughter if she's okay while we will get SB's opinion on the same'. I could see everybody staring at me! Then out of the blue, the dad who hardly spoke, said 'putta, come here'. The bride to-be finally came out of the kitchen and sat in the hall. Small talk continued, with the girl's dad talking about how IT has helped many a lakh of ppl especially in bangalore to get a job, to which I nodded and said it also made the value of land become illogical, to which he nodded and went on a nostalgia trip saying at first when he joined the government sector company where he worked, his salary was Rs.90/-, to which I said the water bill we get today is more than that! Finally, he asked if we wanted to talk to the girl or rather if the guy wanted to. The alliance arranger (hey, this sounds like a a new nice term! :) ) said 'No sir, nothing. We will get going now'. We all just nodded, got out.

The protagonist said 'Yes' and now the next round of bout will start very soon.

dreams.......part two

Scene 1 : Elder brother's bitten on the leg by a highly venomous snake which isn't very 'small'. Bro collapses. I take my bike out to take him to the hospital. My cousin comes in his car. I ask him, 'A snake has bit my bro! Let's take him to the hospital right away!'. I don't really remember what my cousin said, but apparently he couldn't take us to the hospital in his car.
CUT!
Scene 2 : My younger bro walks in with his girlfriend. (This happens between the time that I realize the snake has bitten my bro and I take my bike out). They see what's happening around, and just go and both start reading some books.
CUT!
Scene 3 : I am going to go out the front door and take my bike out. Snake at my feet. Hisssssssssssssssss! I say something which in snake language meant 'Bite me!'. (ROFL!) So the snake did just that. He bit me and how! This one was a very tiny one though. After a few seconds, the snake just vanishes.......into my feet! Almost a minute passes, and I can feel a bump in my left buttocks.
CUT!
I woke up and started rubbing my left buttocks!
